Challenge
-
Urban: Floods often occur in urban areas during the rainy season, resulting in disruption of community activities and material losses. SPAS is a solution for early warning by monitoring river water levels in real-time, helping to prevent further losses.
-
Industry: Factory waste that is thrown carelessly into rivers causes pollution that threatens aquatic ecosystems. SPAS allows regular monitoring of water quality, helping to make more informed decisions in preserving the environment.
-
Drought Mitigation: Apart from providing early flood warning, SPAS also helps mitigate drought in the dry season by continuously monitoring river water discharge, providing useful data for water resource management.
